Brown Applicants Help please

Just couple more days away!

I lost my username and password and was wondering if the username and password was all random. I logged in with it like a month ago, but lost the letter that contained the information.

It would be great if you could tell me if the username was random letters.
And did we have the choice of changing the password?

Thanks.

My username is my first initial, followed by my last name and one number. (i.e. JSmith3) It was the same one from when I was a summer student there, so I don't know if everyone else's is the same style.

I think after you login with the password they give you, you do have the option of changing the password.

My username was first letter of my first name and then my last name. As in jsmith. Passkey was ##letter####letter. But then I changed it-- I forget if it was required to change it.

Call the CIS help desk on Monday to get your username and pasword.

Here's the link to get the number: Brown University Admission Decision / FAQ

Luckily, I called them on Friday to get my username and password.

Anyone know if the password change was required?
Are we allowed to call after the 28th?

Shoot, I dont want to wait for the snail mail. And I live overseas so, its gonna take a long time.

they definitely said don't call after the twenty eighth. if your last name is longer than seven letters it's just your first initial and the first seven letters of your last name. the password was random and i think you had to change it when you logged on, but whatever you changed it to had to have one number in it, in case that helps you remember it

been trying out a couple of password and id combinations

anybody know if the number had to be between the letters?

Should i just call CIS even though its after the 28th?

My username is just my first and last initial followed by a number.

Oh, if nothing works, I remember reading that Brown couriered acceptances to international students last year. So if you do get in, it won't take too long...
