Rita dies in season four.

@Lorem, I was actually thinking about that the other day. That means it’s a 50/50 chance, right? ;)

Lorem - I say we just don’t put the radioactive material in in the first place, and then we just have a cat in a box and it’s less harmful for everyone.

@Lorem! I think about that allllll the time.

I know you’re joking, stupiddorkyidiot, but I really think that those of you who frequent CC have a much better chance of being accepted overall than you might expect from the raw statistics: As a group, you are more likely to have done careful research and learned how to frame yourselves in the best possible light throughout the application process. Maybe the odds aren’t quite 50-50 that you’ll get accepted to Brown, but I’d guess the odds are better than 90% that most of you will get into a top school that will make you happy and make others jealous of your success.

Good luck to all of you!

^ Wonderfully said

@Lorem - aw, shucks, I really hope you’re right. We do tend to be overachievers, that’s for sure!

I occasionally go back and look at my apps to see what I might have been able to change or reword, but what’s done is done, and I’m just excited to find out where I’m going to end up. All will be well, I know that much.

Anyway, thank you for sticking around here and hanging out with us paranoid high school kids. A voice of reason is much appreciated :)

Brown '15 here. I haven’t read through this whole thread, and to be honest I probably won’t hang around to read too many replies, but I just want to let you all know that, whatever happens over the next few days, your college process is going to work out the way that it’s supposed to. That’s kind of weird for me to say, because I don’t really believe in God, and I’m not particularly religious, but there will come a time when you look back on whatever happened to you this week, and you’ll understand that everything ultimately worked out the way that it was supposed to.

Anyways, just my two cents. I know that it isn’t much solace in the moment, and I know that it’s still going to sting and be awful when some people are inevitably rejected, but just know that the pain of it will be short-lived. What matters far more than the letter you receive on Thursday is what you do from that point on in your life. You might not have the power to influence your admission decision any longer, but you do have the power to influence how you react to it, and that’s what really counts. Best of luck!

@cc9315: Very well said. Thank you for that! It definitely made me feel better and more at peace with whatever will happen within the next couple of days.
