Brown Early Decision

Hi! I’m applying early decision to Brown University this fall. I wanted to find out if doing so would still allow me to apply early action to other colleges. I’m unable to find this info on their website. Please help! Thanks

The policy varies from college to college, but in general, you can apply ED to one school and EA to more, as long as you’re not applying early decision to multiple places

Typically ED schools don’t worry about people applying elsewhere (including EA and rolling) as their decision is binding if the applicant is accepted. But if you have any questions contact admissions directly and ask.

You can apply EA to other colleges as long as it is not Restrictive Early Action (e.g. Stanford, Harvard) and as long as the other college does not allow you to apply EA if you’ve applied ED elsewhere (e.g. Georgetown). That said, if you are accepted to Brown, unless there is a FA issue, you’re obligated to attend.
