Hi everyone,
So tomorrow I have an alumni phone interview. The person interviewing me is a native of my city so I was thinking about asking if he ever felt out of place at Brown considering the “humbleness” of his/my hometown. Or should I avoid this subject? Should I even bring up the fact that we’re from the same city?
Also his email implies that he works in a legal firm so I was thinking about asking about Law School (my tentative career goal is to be a judge) but would that seem rude/nosy of me if he never actually said he was a a lawyer?
Any other suggestions on what to ask/expect?
Sorry if these seem like stupid questions but I’ve never done a college interview before and Brown is easily my first choice and I’m really worried that I will screw up.

i had mine this week but it was in person. I don’t think it’s a problem mentioning your town; it gives you a common topic of interest. maybe you will be able to connect on that point. many of my friends at school have had there’s as well and the consensus is the same-- brown’s interviews are very relaxed and casual. so dont worry, good luck and have fun!
