Brown IR, SFS grad vs. SFS undergrad

I have convinced myself that my future would be perfect if I just take this chance to go to Brown for undergrad, double major in IR and something else to continue exploring my wide range of interests and apply to SFS for grad school.

Does anybody who knows more than I do think that this is a bad idea? I don't know what my chances would be for grad school and I don't know how good Brown's IR program is, especially in comparison.

I have to say, I think I'm mainly attracted to Brown because of it's atmosphere in comparison to Georgetown. However, I have heard one minority report that, contrary to its reputation of preppy elitism, Georgetown is a "funky place", where she thought that students were truly original and welcoming.

Any response will probably play a large part in my decision about the rest of my life.

thats presssure...memyself: i think that unless you are 100% sure ur doing IR or if your only reason for wanting Brown is because of "funkiness", then you should go to Brown. If you think both are equal academically and just think Brown has better kids, then go to Georgetown.
On grad school: ive heard that Gtown SFS grad program, while very good, isnt a top top IR grad programs. These would be columbia, harvard, johns hopkins, and tufts (fletcher). But, you cant beat gtown's undergrad IR.

hope that helps.
