Is Brown’s physical science department strong?

BTW, I heard Brown is notable for Egyptology, math history, and media studies.

Is Brown’s physical science department strong?

Yes, especially life sciences and geology.

For NO CORE REQUIREMENTS yet having top flight academics.

coolness. lots of coolness

humanities and social sciences...they also have an incredible neuroscience program

For having a color as a name.

He asked about physical sciences, and geology is a top five program in the country. The professors are absolutely amazing. Geo22 is one of the best classes I've taken (Jan Tullis and Karen Fischer are great professors!!!!). The chemistry department is also supposed to be very good, esp. Professor Stratt who's won every award in chemistry except for the Nobel Prize (which he's trying very hard to win currently).

I'll second that on Geo 22!

how good is neuroscience? is it an actual major?

Brown's known for having the pimpest Class of 2009 in the entire world. Not to mention the most attractive.

Sincerely,

Ruth J. Simmons,
President of Brown University

Yes it is a major at Brown. I believe Brown is one of the few places where you can major in neuro.

Yes I corroborate the claim that we 09-ers are superlatively pimp.

And also, in all seriousness, Brown is commonly crowned the Ivy with the most attractive students...

Brown has the best Hispanic/Spanish/Protugese Studies Department in the nation. It is also among the best in Classics, Applied Math, Computer Science, and some other areas.
