Brown January SATs

Brown: “We will consider scores from the January administration of the SAT provided that you indicate on the test sheet that you wish for the scores to be sent to Brown.”

If I take the January SATs as a senior, although I know which colleges will accept my scores, does it look like an “act of desperation” ? I’m applying to three ivies and a couple other highly ranked schools.

Nah, it doesn’t really look “desperate.” A lot of people do it. Just go ahead - they really don’t care what testing the scores are from at all.

Would they discourage a fourth take?

^ same question as oblivi0n. There’s a 6 month gap though if that helps?

don’t think so, Brown superscores.

Just a question,
But what does it mean, “provided that you indicate on the test sheet that you wish for the scores to be sent to Brown”?

^I think that means you should indicate you want the scores sent to Brown on or before your test date, not after results have come out. This ensures they receive the scores on the same day you do; otherwise, they will come later.
