Brown on strength of ECs?

Hey everyone, another junior posting (a junior who’s been lurking around the Brown board for months now :)) I’m posting because I want to know how I’m gonna compete with my stats, mostly my ECs.

By the end of my junior year, I’ll probably have an average GPA, 4.20 (W) and 3.88 (UW) (I had a bad freshman year). My SATs (the new one) will probably be okay - good, but I think my ECs make me stand out.

By the beginning of my senior year, I’ll have done the following things:

2 straight summers of interning at the Breakthrough collaborative. Basically BC, is where you become a teacher for 8 weeks, and teach a course to middle school students. Although BT is a large internship, its mostly for college students, with probably only 50 (out of 300) interns being HS students. Last summer I taught physics, this summer will probably be bio.

I helped start a tutoring company called Results Tutoring Group. This is pretty straightforward (in addition to being VP, I’m also a tutor, tutoring 5 hrs/wk).

I’m currently starting a branch of RTG called Results Music Group, where several high school students provide music lessons for junior high/elementary school students.

I’ve started a few clubs at my gigantimous high school. National History Club, and next year I’m going to start a branch of UNICEF at my HS (been researching all this year)

And finally, I’ve done some scientific research dealing with UVB/UVC rays and white blood cells. I’ve won a couple awards for this.

So what’s your input? Do you think these things will help me in the app race? Heh, I’ve had my eyes set on Brown since my soph. year.

For some reason, I can't edit posts.

Anyway, last major EC:

Yearbook! Frosh year I was a staff member, soph/junior year I am/was a section editor, next year, if everything goes just right, I'll be editor in chief. Our yearbook is ranked high the nation, and it's basically like managing a $200,000+ business.
