Brown or Duke?

I’m planning on applying ED, and I wanted some input. I’ve been a Brown fan for as long as I can remember, but a lot of my friends went to Duke this year and they love it. I respect both schools and their huge differences, but in many ways I feel they are both similar.

Advise me on which school you prefer, and why! It’s okay if you’re biased-after all this IS the Brown forum.

Also, please do not mention rankings. I truly want to pick a school for its students and profs, not its number.

I don't really think they're similar at all. The "What do you love about Brown?" question I've largely answered in this post:

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/385841-brown-curriculum-university-college-explained.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/385841-brown-curriculum-university-college-explained.html</a></p>

I also think that the The Curriculum at Forty, a review written by the Task Force on Undergraduate Education captures much of what Brown is, what we want it to be, and how we want to get there.

Thanks for the links modestmelody. This, THIS, is what I want.. passionate students who really want to learn.
