Does Gtown have brown people? Indians, Persians, Arabs, or Hispanics will do :P I'm just concerned because from my tour this summer I sensed a real lack of COLOR!

If there are brown people, what are they like? In denial about their ethnicity?

I'm TORN between Columbia and Gtown. But I'm in the college, so I'm wondering if it is a waste to do Poli. Sci./Government and not be in SFS? :S

Lol, I realize this post was kinda random and all over the place, but I'd appreciate your thoughts :)

Of course I visited, and as I said, I sensed a real lack of color on campus. Both my tour guides were Caucasian, as were all the other tour guides I saw that day. And it is statistically less "colored" than some other schools in its league, if I'm not mistaken its 69% caucasian.

Well, the United States is 81.7% white, so white Americans are still underrepresented. I'd say that most academic institutions, like Georgetown, are 'diverse'.

To clarify, that figure includes Hispanic-Americans.

The figure of only caucasian Americans currently stands at 69.1%. Hence Gerogetown, at an initial glimpse, appears to accurately represent the white population of the United States

i'm "brown" and will be attending gtown Fall 2006. im indian of origin but i grew up in the philippines:)...studied at the international school manila. a couple of my indian friends from england attend georgetown now and this turkish girl from my school goes to gtown as well. from what i've heard, gtown is really diverse in terms of race, and there are A LOT of "brown" people attending the university. i logged onto my cousin's face book account (HAHA) and looked at the "friends" of her friend who studies at gtown and i found so many arabs and indians. Randomosity, where are you from?

I think people are a bit annoyed with my questions on here, but it's just that I'm trying to decide between Georgetown and Columbia...
