I’m a current junior and have been ski racing since I was 8, both for my school and a USSA team on weekends. I’ve always been top ranked in tri-state (CT/NY/MA) USSA races and high school races, and have done reasonably well in Eastern championships/finals but chose not to go to a ski academy for academic reasons. I know that I want to continue to race in college, either on a reasonably strong club team (I think this includes UConn, Stanford, Tufts, and maybe Wesleyan and Yale), but I’m trying to figure out whether racing on/being recruited to a varsity team at a school like Brown would be possible for me. Please let me know if you know about the racing experience and/or USSA points of racers at any of the schools I mentioned, but especially Brown, as I LOVE all other aspects of the school. Also, I noticed a lot of older posts about college ski racing from @soozievt, whose daughter ended up racing at Brown, and I was wondering if you could tell me anything about where your daughter’s USSA or FIS points were when she was in high school. Thanks!
Why dont you reach out to the coach to find out what the talent level of the team is?
