Brown U ???

Hi ! SO i'm currently a Junior, and lately my school has been having A LOT of college counseling, and i've been looking into different colleges. So Brown is def. one of my top choices ...

-My grade average is a B (my school doesn't do -,or + but i have a 89% currently , so i'm REALLY close to an A)

-PSAT i got in the 86% range last year (haven't gotten the one i just took)
* i haven't taken the SATs yet...

-I'm in a few APs, and doing very well in them. and I did well on my AP euro class sophomore year.

-i do a lot of extracurricular / volunteer work --- I'm captain of the speech & debate team and I've placed in national tournaments , i work at a hospital so i have over 200 hours of community service.

I'm going to start an internship with a psychologist this winter (i'm planning on majoring in psychology) .

-I'm also active in a lot of clubs and and on the board of 2 clubs.

-I'm on the cross country team.

-I've been playing the piano for about 12 years.

-my school is very rigorous, so I'm pretty sure i'm AT LEAST top half, if not top 25% of my class

-I'm pretty sure i'll do well on my essay/interview and get good recommendations .

don't know if this will help but i grew up in Korea (although I'm not Korean) and I'm mixed. (half Chinese / Scottish)

so do i have a good/bad chance???

Your activities are solid, I'd say good enough for Brown. Your grades seem to be your weak point, and I think this may cost you if you don't get them up. PSAT percentile is low, but it doesn't count for anything anyways. Over the next year, focus on getting your average up to a 93-95 at the very least. Keep up with your great activities. Take the SAT early so you can retake and improve if need be. Brown's very tough (I was rejected last year), but I think you are a strong candidate if you take my advice. Good luck :-)
