Brown Univ. Pre College Questions?

I really am interested in Brown’s precollege program. I don’t mind the intensity, and as far as I’ve heard, it sounds like a blast! But will I be able to get in: A freshmen, about 3.8ish-3.87-3.8ish GPA (unweighted). I take on the hardest avalible classes, and I know a teacher that’s sure to write a very good reccomondation letter. I do a bunch of extra currics, and probably will join the bowling team.

Also, how much does it cost? As in tuition, with dorming, and a meal plan? I honestly have a budget of like 6,000 dollars, 6.5 at the most really. Do they have financial aid? (my parents have professional like engineering or computer jobs).

I know it doesn’t affect your chances to get in BROWN univ. in particular, but can doing stuff like this boost your college resume? Like is there a definate boost?
Any other really good schools like brown with better $$$?
Thanks

Honestly, just about anyone with decent grades can get in, so that shouldn’t be an issue. The expense depends on how long of a class you pick.

Yes, doing something will help your college resume, but there are more selective programs that will look better. If you’re on the younger end (freshman/soph) then it might be better to do this now than later when you should try for something more selective.

Yeah, I kinda found that out haha. Alotta of the better programs are really limited to jr.'s/sr.s, and by then I wanna do something more goal orientated (like if medicine, than do a clinical research thing).

I plan on taking the 6 week I think program, where you basically take the actual course and receive college credit for it. Including board and food and everything.
