Hey guys, I'm really in a hesitating situation right now. I got accepted at Cornell (College of Architecture, Art and Planning) as an urban planning student and Brown as a biochemistry student... But I don't know which I should choose....

For Brown, I really like the open curriculum, the location and the size of the school, but I don't really know where Brown excels in academics. I mean, Cornell seems to rank above Brown in a lot of majors...

For Cornell, I really like the environment and the resources. I also heard that the College of AAP ranks 4th in the country. But I don't have the courage right now to say that I will be doing urban planning for the rest of my life. What if I find sth more interesting? Some people told me that transferring between colleges in Cornell can be quite difficult, especially into the architecture program....

Please, can sb. offer me some advice?!
Thank you soooooo much!!!!!

Your choice of majors couldn’t be more different and Brown does not have a preprofessional arch program. You really need to figure what you think you want to do. Visit both schools (both really nice, Brown is maybe the most beautiful campus anywhere). If you are thinking of arch call cornell and see how difficult it would be to switch.

thanks, ceresma. Yeah, I think that’s my problem too, but I really don’t know which to give up. Architecture & Planning and Biochemistry both thrills me.

At Cornell if you decide that you don’t want to continue in Architecture, it would not be impossible to transfer into one of the other colleges that offer biochem programs. You could pursue that subject in the College of Human Ecology or the College of Ag. and Life Sciences as well as in the College of Arts and Sciences.
