I know this is so last minute, but I'm honestly torn between Brown and Dartmouth. I want to go into biology and.....these are some points that I"m stuck on:

-Is Dartmouth's frat/sorority scene really SO dominating? Is it dominating enough to be a serious con? I'm not a huge drinker.
-Brown open curriculum: I'm not exactly sure where to take my major so I'm worried I"ll screw up with planning my own curriculum
-Input on Providence and Hanover please
-Job placement/graduate placement after undergraduate?

Anything else you think is relevant! : )

-Search function! It’s prevalent, but certainly not the only source of social life. Current students on the Dartmouth board have a lot to say about this.

-Brown’s open curriculum is great for anyone who wants to explore multiple disciplines or delve into interdisciplinary connections, but for someone who would prefer to have a strict set of class requirements, Brown may not be for you. I also have heard that Dartmouth’s science department is stronger, but I’m not sure if this is overarching or specifically pertaining to bio.

-Providence is a cool area; Hanover is a typical New England college town with lots of nature. Pick your poison.

-Dartmouth has a fantastic alumni network (though I’m sure this is true of Brown as well).

Both equal for job placement. It basically comes down to a fit decision.

It’s completely about fit - these schools are dead even in every other way… I am more a Brown than D’mouth person myself. The open curriculum alone is worth it.
