what time do you think they will call the lucky ones?
should be around 2 pm PST if they’re doing it like last year
do they call before updating the portal?
They said they were expecting higher yield this year in an article. It could be simply because they admitted more students from the ED pool this year (about 30 more). This year, they are assuming the RD yield of 50%. 1% drop in yield will open up spots for about 20 students in the waiting list. Good luck everybody.
anything yet?
Hope it comes out soon lmao :))
has anyone heard anything?

There is very little activity on this thread, which is odd compared to past years.
They expected a higher yield, so the wait list must be smaller, thus less traffic?

Although decisions were first released on the 15th last year, that doesn’t mean it will be the same for this year as well. However, it is quite certain that people will begin to hear back starting from today.
Please post if you hear anything. Just so we know that the first wave of offers has started. Also, let us know if they emailed or called or posted on portal. Good luck everyone.
Its 7 pm right now, I doubt they will release the decisions today as admissions working hours is 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
But regular decisions were released at 7:00 so it’s not impossible…
I think the regular decisions were already made before they were released at 7:00 on March 28. For the waitlist, they need to review every single applicant again (at least that’s what the waitlist letter said). Perhaps the AO is pressed more heavily this year, for whatever reason. A part of me hopes it’s because they need more waitlisted students this year (but another part of me doesn’t want my hopes to get too high). And, as others have said before, one day late is hardly late at all when an exact date isn’t assigned. I hope everyone here will get in!
Has anyone called the admissions office to ask?
Brown projected 61% yield this year so they admitted less under RD. If this number is under, the WL will be released.
I think if they’re gonna release the waitlist, they would have already done that by now. So this probably means that they have spots available. And didn’t they say that they have admitted from 60-120 people in the previous years? If they’re taking longer than usual—say last year—is this a sign that they’ll take more people from the waitlist? I’m not sure. Still praying though…
Stop trying to read tea leaves.
I just called Brown Admissions and asked about the WL status (given I have no horse in the race I wasn’t worried about annoying them) to try and provide some clarity.
“We will be making a limited number of offers over the next several days and will likely leave the list open until some point in June. Notifications will be made by email with candidates notified through the portal”.
No specificity about exact timing or size except “imminent and minimal”.
Good luck, GO BRUNO and I hope this helps.
A little worried about the word “limited”, but I guess all waitlist offers are limited since it’d be impossible for almost everyone on the list to get off due to the number of available spots.
“limited” oof
