Do you know of anyone who double majors at bryn mawr- or is it not encouraged? I would want to double major in Romance Languages and something else. I would also have a minor. Does Bryn Mawr allow this?

THANK YOU!!!

Double majoring is totally fine at Bryn Mawr, and I think it’s fairly common, especially when majoring in foreign languages, which usually don’t require as many courses as other majors. In fact, I’m planning to double major in Russian and Psychology. You can add a minor as long as it’s not too overwhelming for you. Just be aware that if you double major, you’re not going to have very many electives outside of those two majors, so only choose a double major if you are truly interested in both subjects. My general impression is that Bryn Mawr encourages students to study what they want to study, and so double majors are perfectly acceptable.

double majoring is encouraged by schools anywhere. it just depends if you’re up for handling the courseload haha. go for it

i too plan on double majoring - hope it will work out. my main motivation for posting was to geek-love out about your username tesseract though you are probably not referring to Madeline L’engle’s use of tesser-travel in A Wrinkle in Time. :D
