Are we suppose to know our decision by this Saturday?
When I called the admissions office they said we will know before Christmas… so it could be a while from now i guess.
I think they’re saying that so that they don’t make any promises on the date just in case something happens. But they sent that email saying “It’s almost decision time” so it’ll probably be tomorrow or even Saturday. I highly doubt it would be around Christmas.
Any news on the results
I wish it was today oh my god
I hope they release decisions tomorrow i can’t wait any longer
maybe they’ll email us tomorrow morning and we’ll know tomorrow night
I GOT THE EMAIL: 4 pm TONIGHT

@“Coco&Bismarck” it looks like you’re interested in BMC. My general impression of BMC is that it’s very interested in students who are holistically right for the school – in other words while scores and grades are not unimportant, BMC really wants students who “get” what the school is about and enthusiastically want to contribute to that community. That’s probably as or more important that scores, ECs and GPA. To understand BMC the best way probably is to visit and ask about the honor code, its intellectualism, the generally homey atmosphere, empowerment of women especially (although with the grad school on campus and Haverford students there are men there too), and generally students and a community interested in the betterment of people and society.
Hello! I have a 33 on the ACT and a weighted GPA of 4.8. I didn’t have a lot of extracurriculars, but I was a manager for the cross-country team, was a member of NHS, and participated for a year in a few random clubs and sports. I definitely agree with Dustyfeathers though, the process is pretty holistic and you need to understand what the college values are and figure out how you can contribute to the community. You can show this through your essays (Don’t procrastinate like I did!) and hopefully an interview. I did one with an alum and I feel like it helped me feel more sure of my decision and that those reviewing my application really knew who I was and what I stood for. I wish you the best of luck in your applications and hopefully I’ll see you on campus someday.
