I’m wondering if anyone spoke directly with the BMC Admissions Office to learn whether the ED1 notification date would be anything other than the December 15th deadline that they list on the university’s website.
@enmasdad could you please provide the link that shows the ED I admission notification date? TY
Oh okay. That’s the 2008-2009 page. I think the decisions this year are on 12/20, but I’m not sure.
How do you know?
Hi everyone! Im a prospective scholar athlete and the coach told me that they would be out on the 15th!
I heard from the BMC Admissions Office today that it would be “late in December,” but before Christmas. They wouldn’t provide an exact date. Maybe this is to give themselves a margin. We’re hoping for notifications the 15th, too, but figuring that it may be longer.
According to some of my impatience, and madness and the internet BMC’s previous ED1 decisions last year were up at 4pm on Dec 15 on the dot. I’m going crazy send help
I’m going to assume it’s not the first week of December since to my knowledge no decisions have been sent out so here’s hoping that it will be December 15th!!!
Also I know that Wellesley sent out their ED results this week so I mean maybe it could be tomorrow or in the next few days but Barnard, Smith, and MoHo are still waiting as well
I’m applying ED2 good luck with the application decision!
Does anyone know what time the acceptance letters come out??
I’m not sure. I feel like last year it was around 4?
It was definitely 4 last year
Glad that you’re happy @Anon0620 . Now can you let the others on this feed who have applied ED also feel happy?
They are, after all, going to attend this school, if accepted, as they applied ED.
Please also check your assessment of what happened in the incident you described. It appears that your account is strongly exaggerated. First, it was a single incident, one in which the “victim” spent a lot of time talking to the mainly conservative press outlets and tabloids. While I have no doubt that she felt terrible, and the students said things they shouldn’t have, this student also made sure that she had her 15 minutes of fame and, it could be interpreted, revenge. BMC also covered the incident honestly in blogs and did a lot of soul searching, to attempt to be supportive of the student and to ensure that nothing like that happened again. This soul-searching occurred in the student body and at the admin level. In addition, contrary to your statements, no suicides have been reported over political incidents (or as far as I have seen otherwise). That simply did not happen and it is wrong of you to say that it did.
As your accounts are so strongly exaggerated, in light of your posting this on an ED thread, your comments can be construed as vindictive, bullying even–all in the name of supposedly calling out bullying at a place that you left. A lot of people leave top schools all of the time. This is not a special thing, to make a choice that you regret. What is special, is if you leave a place with grace.
Please remember that no one is perfect. Not you. Not BMC. Not whatever political group you support. Not your current college. The most that we can hope for is that people and institutions search their collective souls to figure out how not to make the same mistake twice.
Please go be happy, and let this thread be about excitement and happiness.
Completely respect you for sharing your opinion @Anon0620 , but perhaps this is not the best thread for it?
I thank you for trying to warn people and I’m sorry your experience was so awful, but I think we also need to be aware of the dangers of the single story, if I may be cliché. Different people work better with different schools, but I think we must take into account that student bodies are diverse, and no two people will have the same experience. Some of us, if admitted, may end up hating Bryn Mawr, but it is up to each individual to see how they interact with the environment. People change, schools change, student bodies change. Clearly, there are problems with every institution, and if each applicant listened to horror stories about their dream school, every top school would be empty. But again, I have no doubt you posted out of goodwill in an effort to ensure that we have a good college experience.

Do you guys have your mid-year reports in?
Did anyone else get an email asking them to confirm their application account and BiONiC? I logged into both of them and looked for somewhere to confirm them but I was unable to find anything. Is it just logging in?
I think it’s just making sure that you still have your logins
