I am choosing between these three colleges and Denison offers me a scholarship of $36,000.
I cannot make a decision.
Please give me some advice!
Thanks a lot!!!

I think you should choose between Bryn Mawr and Denison.

@lovethewayyoulie What’s wrong with W&M?

cindyhua,
First, I would ignore posts from lovethewayyoulie - she/he is disgruntled and often posts negative statements with no insight. Not very helpful, but I suppose it is more for self gratification rather than helping another student.
Anyway, Congratulations on your achievements! Great choices If you share a little more info into what you are interested in, what you like/not sure of about each school, etc we may be able to offer you some advice.
Certainly W&M is the most “prestigious” of the three, and most academically selective. This is important, but not the sole reason to make that choice. Is the scholarship at Denison for all 4 years? Have you visited? How did you feel spending time on each campus? Does each have the programs you are interested in? Do you like a very small rural school or a bit of a larger school? Did you spend time talking to the current students? What impression did you walk away with?
It is a tough decision - hopefully one of the posters that are current/past W&M students will be able to help answer any questions you have.
Good luck!

@MOMNEEDSGUIDANCE,yes, the scholarship is for four years. I never visited any colleges. I am actually not that interested in study all the time, and I am definitely going to grad school.

I imagine it is difficult to choose without actually visiting any of the campuses. I wish I had more advice for you…maybe there is someone out there who has been in the same boat? (not able to visit campuses). Good luck to you!

Congratulations on three terrific options. I am a bit queasy at the thought of choosing a school without EVER having seen it. Is there any way you can visit at least the school you’re leaning toward choosing (which appears to be Denison, from your other posts?).

Another aspect to consider carefully is what GPA you’ll need to maintain for your scholarship at Denison to be renewed each year. A 3.0 should be quite doable for the kind of student you must be, considering your excellent offers. I’ve read of schools that require 3.25s, 3.5s, and even higher. Depending upon the major you eventually choose, the higher GPAs might be challenging.

To me, the factor to consider most carefully in addition to finances is whether you’ll be happy at a non-coed school. I imagine that presents a unique campus atmosphere, one that sets Bryn Mawr apart from Denison and W&M. Congrats again on three wonderful acceptances.
