B's in the First Semester of Senior Year

SOOOO, I have been getting A’s in all my classes from freshmen-junior year except B+ in AP Spanish but this year I fear that I will get 3 B’s in ib hl math, ap bio, ap physics . Will this hurt my chance greatly in getting into ivy league level schools?

bump someone reply… stop viewing and reply lol

A downward trend is never helpful, but Bs aren’t the end of the world and it sounds like your overall GPA will still be strong. It probably won’t automatically take you out of the running for selective schools. Will it have a big impact on your class rank?

i think it would have a big impact since our school doesnt weight grades. so people who take pre algebra senior year can be valedictorian/rank 1 lol

I’ve never had straight As before and I go to a really competitive school, but this year, by some miracle, I’m getting it. Except for AP Physics. I’m getting an A in AP LIT, and that’s precious few kids can do. I have indicated my preference for Classics and Philosophy, and got an A in physics last year. I’m getting a B- now though (although my class average is at the B-/C+ level), and it looks really bad on my straight A record. I have never been SO close to a 4.0, yet AP Physics ruined it all. I can’t drop it; it’d look worse. Everything points me as a social sciences/humanities person, and I’m really grieving because the B- can kill everything. We’re in the same boat. Good luck to you too.
