well i’m more interested in the programs that’ll either excuse you from taking the MCAT or will accept a minimum score. the only reason why i want to apply to accelerated programs is because i don’t want to apply to pre-med or some science major and go through the process of applying to med schools with the highest stats i could possibly have. so even if a program only requires say, a 28 on the MCAT to proceed to the affiliated med school, i’d be happy with that. as long as i’m (somewhat) guaranteed a spot at a med school i’m okay

i might be wrong, but isnt the St Lawrence program like that? as long as you meet those specific requirements you’re guaranteed the spot in the med school?

I’m in Siena/AMC’s program. My advice would be to get involved with volunteer work (you can get volunteer work that is also medically related such as becoming an EMT) and getting medically related activities such as shadowing, research, etc.

Hey, I just applied to Siena/AMC joint program. What stats (SAT, GPA, & rank) do you think I should have to be considered “safe?” I know it’s really competitive considering that a max amount of 14 HS seniors can be accepted.

Also, is it bad that I didn’t take any SAT II’s?

i am sure you don’t need this information now 3 years later but i don’t want people to become discouraged like i was after reading the comments. i know someone with a 28 in the ACT and and 1920 in the SAT and she go into Sophie Davis. so don’t give up hope. Your future is definitely worth the application fee
