The SAT 2 requirements are set by the colleges you apply to. Where are you thinking of applying? If you look at the college website under admissions then under test requirements it should say how many tests they want and if there are any requirements as to which ones you need to take.

Can your guidance counselors at school help you figure out the college requirements?

Also, are you a minority or 1st generation to college? Are you going to need financial aid?

The calendar for taking the SAT II’s is on the College Board website. The next test is in October and there is one in November.

a lot of schools dont even ask for AP scores.

and on the common app, reporting AP scores is optional.

seriously if you dont like a score just dont put it. the AP tests are completely optional tests, so its only logical that reporting them would be optional.

Sorry but you have to take the SAT Subject Tests before you send in your application. The exact date is usually on the website for the colleges you are applying to. I’m sure everyone would like to take them “later.”

If you are retaking the SAT you can take it again in October and take two or three Subject Tests in November or December depending on when your applicatons are due. If you took Calculus then you can take the Math II subject test. There is also a subject test for US History and ones for physics, bio and chemistry. Just take the ones you think you will do the best on. You can ask for a fee waiver based on your family’s income. Look on the College Board website for a listing:

The are quite a few books available to help you study for the SAT and the Subject Tests. Barnes & Noble has them or you could probably check them out from your public library. Here is a link to Amazon.com to give you an idea of the books.
