BS/MD Programs PLEASE HELP ME!!! I NEED ADVICE!!!

I am going to be a senior next year and I truly want to get into one of these programs, but I am not sure what else i need to do in high school.
I already have the following:

Valedictorian
Varsity Swimming and going to do varsity soccer for my senior year
Played cello in Orchestra for all four years
Clubs: NHS, Future Medical Professionals, and 3 other clubs that I'm doing for my senior year
AP Classes: AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP World History, AP U.S History, AP Psychology, AP Language/Composition, and AP Physics.
Currently volunteering at a hospital for 120 hours for an elective credit and a medal at graduation.
Also, I am shadowing various doctors
SAT Score: Currently studying for the October SAT (anticipating over a 2000)
My main question that I have is if i should take SAT subject tests. I would take Math II and Chemistry close to my October SAT test date, but I really would rather focus on keeping valedictorian and getting a high SAT score. Are these SUBJECT TESTS really necessary to get into the BS/MD programs??? I just don't want to waste my time studying for them.

Please help! Thank You!

studying math and chemistry is never a waste of time for a future doctor. You need to demonstrate your knowledge in these areas. If your high school is reaaallyy tough and the college knows it you’ll be fine, but if not or if they think you crammed for tests and have no long term memory of that crap you need to take either an AP test or the subject tests. Also, if you already have the knowledge it shouldn’t take that much time to refresh, and if you were my doctor I would much prefer you care about your knowledge more than your rep. You need to take them and yes, do well. I would say if you are seriously working on this stuff 13 hours a day and cannot fit in anything more, ease up on the cello and some of the stuff that you don’t need for a little while, if not stop freaking out and understand you are logging more hours right now than you will in the near future and that’s okay, it is a final push

There are specific BS/MD programs that require Chemistry and Math II (HPME, Boston U).

^The subject tests would give a competitive edge as well. :D

Yea definitely do subject tests for these program (MathII, Bio, Chem, Physics are the main ones for these programs).

Okay I think I see where you guys are getting at. Also, I was wondering if Cornell had a BS/MD program. If they do can you guys post the requirements or just the SAT score one needs. Thanks!l

Cornell has a weird bs/md program. for the first two undergrad years, you go to suny cobleskill and get an associate’s degree. You then go to Cornell and get a bachelor’s. Then i think you go to SUNY Upstate med school. I think i made a thread about this a while back.
