There’s a teacher in a BS who is like another me; we’ve got the same hobbies, interests, and they teach my favorite subject. Should I email them? Of course, my intentions are not to get more chances of being accepted; I want them to know that they’re one of my main reasons to apply for this school and how excited I’m to learn from them!
If you are accepted to this school, it’d be fine to go introduce yourself. At this point, reaching out would be weird.

The AO will be interested in your academic interest, not your interest in a single teacher. If you can do it in this context, it’s probably harmless.
How did you find out about the teacher? Maybe if they are the department head, but if they are just a regular teacher, I don’t think it would be wise to reach out. If they are the department head, maybe email them, but don’t let on that you are directly interested in getting to know the teacher. Instead, express your interest in the SUBJECT and what the school offers in the field.
