BU Accelerated Medical Program

Hi there! I am applying this fall and I was looking into the Accelerated Program at BU. It sounds AMAZING. However, I don’t think I will be able to take a foreign language SAT and I don’t know if my stats/EC’s are good enough for the program. I am definitely applying, but I was just wondering how high my chances are. Any advice would be helpful! THANK YOU!

SAT
Math 2: 800
SAT (first time): 2170
SAT (2nd time): 2280
SAT (3rd time): 2290
SAT (superscore): 2360
(not that it matters, but PSAT = 231)

I’m planning on taking the Bio & Chem SAT this Oct

And I took Bio at a community college to get college credit

Extracurricular Activities:

ASB president next year
Interact Club (community service based club) boardmember for 2.5 years

Medical Related Activities:
I also shadowed Stanford medical students for 4 weeks at a free clinic.

I’m not sure how much help I’ll be since I wasn’t accepted, but I did apply. The program is (naturally) extremely competitive so beef up your resume as much as you can. It seems like you have great grades and a nice list of extracurriculars. I think the things that matter the most are the grades and SATs. Be sure to do really well on the subject tests, because I think that’s really what brought me down. All in all, you seem to be headed in the right direction! Hopefully, someone who was accepted to the program can tell you a bit more.
