you'll def get in with that. Don't worry

If KG974 is scared.. then i'm REALLY scared.

32 ACT
3.42 UW
80/350

I'm a junior (and I have an upward grade trend)

I got an 800 MathIIC and 700 Chem too, btw.
How would I fit? (i'm considering BU as a match for me?)

Rightwing, don't worry. You'd probably be in the honors program.

even though i got a D+ one semester in AP Chem, and a C in math (2 semesters)?

I can't answer that. How do you get 700 on SAT II Chem and a D+ in the class?

KG974, don't worry. Your chances of getting in are good. I got in and my stats are

1340/1970
3.86 UW, 4.75 W
1/200

Rightwing, you'll get in for sure, not sure about honors program though. I got a few Cs in chem and I got in with a 3.5 GPA and 1380/2010 SATs.

My d. had 2100 and mid to high 600s on sat IIs, 3.7 uw, 4.3. w. , top 10% of class. She was hoping to get into honors. What do you guys think? Also, would she get some merit money? Thanks for responding.

bf06bu: Did you get into Honors? Did you get merit money? Thanks for replying

I can't wait for this letter. I'm getting sick to my stomach just thinking about it.

kinkosmom: I didn't hear anything about the Honors program. BU did offer me a half tuition scholarship, which was really nice. It was the University scholarship. I'm still hoping to get into the Honors program though.

bf06bu;
Congrats on the University scholarship. I know it's a merit scholarship, but did you also show financial need?

crazyla, my EFC from the FAFSA was 13,000 so there was some financial need.

bfsu: When you say you got in, when did you get in? ED? for beginning in august 2006?

I got in EDI. I found out in December.

All of this is worrying me now for biomedical engineering, my sat was only 1270, and act 29, but my gap is 3.9uw and 4.0w with ap's and honors, great ec's (leadership) and rec's and i guess decent essays.

Its the same problem with every school though... I fit into roughly the middle 50% but because I applied for BME its generally a lot more difficult to get in... at least thats what I've heard.

BU is my second choice behind Pratt but thats definately a reach.

I think this is the third post I've made about this, but I don't think BME is as hard to get into as people make it out to be. My SATs were 1380, my GPA is 3.5 over all, and 3.7ish this year. All that is with about 5 or 6 honors and 1 AP for my whole high school career. I think it may have helped that I'll have finished 6 years of math and 6 years of science when I graduate, but with a 3.9 to 4.0 GPA with a bunch of APs and honors AND what sounds like more ECs than I have, you should be a lock.

Bf06bu, my S's Honors Program letter was dated March 29, 2005. He was accepted ED with a University Scholarship last year. I think BU waits until both ED and RD applications are reviewed before finalizing a list of Honors Program invitees. If you were awarded that scholarship, you will get a letter.

hey, I have a 3.85 gpa uw (a ton of ap + all rest honors, but school doesn't weigh), 1430/2150 SAT, 730 & 650 (yuck) SAT IIs... good ECs, consistent for years and a few leadership posts.

Do you think I have a chance at the 1/2 tuition, since I applied for finaid and um... need it? Also, was I supposed to have applied to the honors college or do you just get invited?
