@MAgirl2015 wow your stats are really good!
@wishfulterrier ohh if you did CGS directly I say there’s a high chance of getting in
@mirkatmanor im super nervous for results! they reviewed my app a while ago so I hope I got in!

less than three weeks to go

I did ED to CAS, but I checked the box saying I would like to be considered for CGS as well just to be safe. My counselor says that if I don’t get into the program I applied for then the ED agreement is no longer binding, but I would still probably go (unless someone else made a great offer) because I love BU so much.

@food4lyfe good luck! :)

Does anyone know if it matters when our first quarter grades are submitted? I know the website says “as soon as they are available,” but is it okay if mine haven’t been submitted yet? The first quarter at my school ended already but my counselor hasn’t sent out grades yet.

@mirkatmanor thanks!! good luck to you too!
@MAgirl2015 i think it’s best to send it by Dec1st. since they cant see your first semester grades they want to see how your doing right now when reviewing the app

@MAgirl2015 my counselor hasn’t sent them in yet, and I emailed the BU rep that came to my school and she said that it’s okay for the time being, but they should be sent out as soon as possible. You might just want to send an email to your counselor and make sure that they’re being sent out in the next few weeks.

@mirkatmanor thanks! I did email my counselor… she thinks they should be sent this week.

they reviewed my app…
AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Anyone know how many people submitted ED applications/how many ED apps they accept?

I think the earlier they review your app the better it is. Caz the “maybes” take the longest
I think 600/1500 ISH @pumpkinremix

But I think if your quarter grades just came out/just reached them, then you’d inevitably be one of the later ones for review…so that shouldn’t worry people too much!
thanks @snoogleki !!

Oh actually I just double checked last year they had 54,190 applicants for RD and or 1,718 applicants for ED @pumpkinremix

@snoogleki @pumpkinremix i asked a person there she said 20% of the incoming class are ED kids…and i heard if you checked the FB group during ED last year it was around 600-650 kids. so around 37%. and yeah i think its better if they review earlier so they can fill up the space…if you do it later there will be less space…earlier shows your more on task too

@pumpkinremix My account said they reviewed my app a few weeks ago… and they just got my quarter grades today, so I’m not sure if that affects when it gets reviewed

@MAgirl2015 They review applications even if the reports aren’t in yet but put them in a separate pile of maybes; the grading period report either affirms or changes their previous decisions. Either way, they will review the application with or without the report.

Does anyone know if you can take classes in other colleges besides the one you’re in? For example can I take a class in the college of communication if I’m enrolled in CAS?

Yea pretty sure, actually you have to! I applied to ENG and I looked at their course curriculum first year students have to take physics, calc, humanity courses which all belong to CAS @rancherjolly98

Hi everyone, I’m a freshman at BU this year and I applied ED just like y’all! I know this is an extremely nerve-racking and stressful time but just remember to take a deep breath because it’s all out of your hands right now and all you can do is wait. It’s almost unbelievable that I was in this same position just last year. I just wanted to wish everyone good luck and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

@allyfernandezk Hey, you probably get this a million times over, but would you mind posting your stats? Also, did you apply for the honors college? What housing did you end up choosing/do you enjoy it there?
