BU for polisci and Gov?

Hey, I’ve got a quick question(s) about BU. First off, how is the Political Science/Government program at BU? Is it anything special? How would it compare to that of American U, George Mason U, or Maryland U (college park)? Secondly, what internships would there be in Boston for a polisci/gov major? (In other words, would I have the same opportunities at BU as I would at those other Universities?)

Thanks!

I was Poli Sci and loved the dept. The biggest difference between BU and the schools you listed is obviously location…there aren’t as many opportunities for Fed govt internships in Boston as compared to DC. That being said, there are tons of internships in Boston in govt in general…city hall, state house, senator/reps offices, tons of non-profits. BU also has a “study abroad” program in DC, so you can stay there for a semester and are guaranteed an internship.
