Political Science?

I’m thinking about minoring in Political Science at BU. Does any current student or anyone else with knowledge about the poli science department at BU have info about how good the program is at BU? I just find poli sci interesting but I haven’t heard much about poli sci at BU and am trying to decide between poli sci, econ, or possibly international relations as a minor. Also, does anyone know how difficult poli sci at BU is in terms of grading?
thanks

I originally began as a poli sci major and took two classes in it. I found them really interesting and was able to get a B+ in one and an A- in the other. BU is really solid for poli sci, but is even better for IR. That seems to be a bigtime major here. However, we have a great poli sci department. I switched out only because I wanted to do something a bit more business-oriented. My intro to poli sci and american politics class were both very interesting to me.

My S is doing BUCOP in political science (CAS) and public relations (COM). He has enjoyed all his political science classes except an introductory class, which I believe they've eliminated. If you have good AP scores in American Government and/or Comparative Government, you can place out of PO 251 and PO 211, two required political science courses.

thanks for the info! my school doesn't offer any AP Government classes and I'm not taking the tests sooo I'm going to have to take whatever intro courses are necessary for Poli Sci.
I have to decide between IR and poli sci now....hmmmm....

My son started out as a poly sci major and changed to IR before his spring semester, so don't sweat it, you have time!

hijack alert...HI KINSHASA!
