I am posting for him becuase he doesn't have an account and stuff.

So any ideas on both? I already told him a lot about YSP because that's where I am goin ;) But I think he would like to know more about BU Honors Internship---the research one.

thanks!

Hey,

I attended the BU HSHP Research Internship program last year, so I can offer my perspective on it.

I found the program to be extremely worthwhile, and I had a great time. I'm not sure what lab your friend is placed in, but I was doing immunology research an a Harvard Med lab last year, and the faculty and environment were second-to-none. It was definitely the most intellectually stimulating experience I have ever done, hands down. The other labs in the program (BU, MIT, and BU Medical Center) are all great as well. Socially, HSHP is very good. I met tons of people from all over the world that I'm still friends with today, and the events that they have planned for the students are pretty fun (beach, Red Sox, Blue Man Group, Charles River fireworks, Six Flags, etc.). Plus, there's no city like Boston, in my opinion. You can do just about anything there, and the students are given a lot of freedom to explore by themselves and with friends.

The downside about HSHP is probably the cost. If your friend didn't apply for financial aid, this program is about $5000-6000 dollars. If his or her family can afford it, however, I highly recommend on going. BU HSHP was the best summer of my life! You can PM me if you have more questions.
