I got in to SUNY Binghamton University and was waitlisted at Boston University. My question: Is the city of Boston really worth an extra 20,000 dollars. What do you think about these two schools in terms of a choice? and so on.

why don't you get accepted to bostonu before you start asking people to compare it with binghamton.

Wait and compare financial aid packages. I have been accepted to both Indiana U and BU. BU costs about 13000/year more if you're paying full out of state price, but thanks to scholarship/fin. aid would cost me about 10000/year less.

Check out the board on BU and I assume SUNY has one too under the CC college section. The best thing you can do in April is attend the full day programs for accepted students that are typically offered on weekends at both of theses schools and can include an overnight in a dorm. Here you'll be with other potential Freshman and you'll get a good feel for which school is a better fit. Also, Boston and Binghampton are world apart as cities so you may prefer one urban environment over another.

BU is probably more fun, but SUNY Bing is a good school [the best SUNY]. If you don't get money from BU id just go to Binghamton

do you mind saring your stats?

3.5 GPA, 1280. I already got some money from Binghamton, about 3k. And I ask because, chances are that if I stay on the waitlist, I will get in. Almost everyone on the waitlist does - over 90%.
