Need Some Advice

I got accepted to both Binghamton and Boston College. Since my junior year, I have been dead set on Binghamton and love what it has to offer. However, when I visited Boston College, I also fell in love with its campus.

Financials aren't really a factor since Bing gave me nothing and BC is need-based blind or whatever. However, my main concern with BC is that although most kids come to like, I heard a lot of bad things about it. With Bing, everyone I know that goes there absolutely loves it and cannot wait to go back when they're home on break.

I also like that Bing pools mostly from LI and the NY region. I know others prefer more diversity, but I like that I know someone from my town that goes to Bing for carpooling reasons, whatever.

Here's my question: I'm going for history education. I've read great things about Bing's history department, nothing about BC's (I can't find anything on Google). Which is better?

Also, which school, overall, do you think is a better fit? The only negative I have with Bing is its location (you can't really beat Boston). However, I think I'd click faster at Bing than BC. Any suggestions? Advice?

Seems to me like you like Binghamton better… you said finances aren’t an issue, you’ve heard great things about Binghamton/not so great about Boston, you like that Binghamton has a lot of people from the same area as you, you’ve heard great things about Binghamton/nothing really about BC… & you think you’d click faster at Binghamton… I’d go with your gut, which to me looks like you’re leaning towards Binghamton. You don’t want to go to a school that doesn’t thrive in your major… A friend of mine decided against many schools because nobody there had ANYTHING to say about her major and the school shes at now takes pride in their program. Sounds like Binghamton is your school!!
