I’m having trouble deciding between boston university and fordham, the rosehill campus. I’m going in undecided for both.

With Boston, I’m worried about grade deflation, being just a number in a huge school, being far away from my home in Brooklyn, NY. But they did give me a good amount of financial aid/grants and I know that BU has a really good rep with lots of opportunities. I’m just scared I might struggle academically.

Fordham on the other hand gave me about 8,000 dollars less and academically probably doesnt compare to BU. But, the campus is beautiful, i love NY (close to everything and im comfortable here), i know a few ppl going there, and FU is also becoming the “hot” school.

PLEASE HELPPP!!!

Well grade deflation and feeling like a number aren't really good reasons to not like BU since a)I've never experienced grade deflations and b) Average class size at BU is 28 and only 4% of classes are over 100. You're classes don't get that huge and there are many smaller communities within the larger one that make it seem much smaller. To me, I never feel like I go to a school of 16,000.

ive heard that at BU (i dont know much abt fordham) that if you go into the college of general studies you will have a bad experience but the other schools are great- so just warning u ive heard the CGS at BU is like 13th grade according to 2 students who are in it and love the school but not their courses in CGS

That is total crap, even more ridiculous than the grade deflation bull. Lots of kids love CGS. If you took a minute and looked, you'd see many, many posts from kids in CGS.

If the money is better from BU, I'd go there unless you're really Catholic and / or have a thing about being near home.

im probably going to do the core program if i go to BU
