Which is more reputable for computer science? Which will offer more opportunities such as internships or jobs? Finally, which is better in terms of a computer science education?

Also, i am in state for UMD so what kind of aid does BU offer? Are they known for giving out financial aid?

Boston U is a good school for computer science but Maryland-College Park is a great school for computer science, one of the best in the country. #15 in the US News grad school ranks while BU is #48. No, that’s not undergrad, but I don’t think you’ll find many people advocating that BU is worth the extra money. If you’re instate for Maryland and want CS, you’re going to have to do a lot to justify going anywhere else.

@MrMom62 okay thanks. Another question is that I’ve had straight As all 3 years of high school but now i am close to getting 1 C in honors, 1 B in AP, and 2 As in APs… Do you think they would rescind admission by looking at this decline in 12th grade report card?

At Maryland? That’s really, really doubtful. Being a state flagship, there are a whole lot of other kids who’ve got way worse grades than you do. You won’t even be a blip on their radar. I doubt it would even cause a ripple at an Ivy.
