<p>My S got accepted at BU in Honors program in Neuroscience with University scholorship (50% ride all 4 years).</p>
<p>We just heard that he was also accepted at TCNJ/UMDNJ 7 year BS/MD program.</p>
<p>If you are a high achiever with stellar stats and excellent focus, super ECs, with State level recognition for research, (not stellar enough for Ivy acceptance this year though), which one would you choose and why?</p>
<p>I personally would chose the 7yr med, if he is sure that he wants to go into medicine. My friend was in a 6yr medical program and dropped it because, she had a change of heart.</p>
<p>i would go to the guaranteed program, provided there are no catches like "must maintain 3.5 gpa" or "must get 30 MCAT." I'd also check if the decision is binding (whether after 4 years ur son can apply to other medical schools, or whether he MUST stay at UMDNJ)</p>
