Is this one of the harder schools to get into at BU? I was wondering because I am considering going for a business major there or just stay in my home state. BU seems like a really great university and a good opportunity to experience Boston. I wouldn’t be alone. I have family that lives there still. I was just wondering what are the primary stats you should have before applying. I wasn’t able to find them. I want to know what I am up against. Thank you!

SMG is one of the 2 hardest schools to get into, but it’s definitely worth a try!!!

These are the stats: [Undergraduate Student Profile at Boston University School of Management](http://management.bu.edu/upo/admissions/profile.html)

If you have any additional questions about SMG, send me a private msg and I’d be happy to answer them for you.

Whoa! Those are freaking astronomical stats! There’s NO WAY I’m getting in. The kind of student I am I don’t see how I would EVER be able to get in. And what sucks is that I sent in a request for a brochure. I should have just stuck to universities here in FL.

If I apply to SMG but don’t get in, do they put me into CAS, assuming I am qualified for BU, or is it straight to CGS for people who don’t get their first major choice?

calwaiting: CGS… In SMG, you don’t get accepted based on the choice of your major, everyone is in the same pool.

I know everyone is in the same pool for SMG - I meant if you don’t get into SMG (or any of the other more competive schools) is there a chance you would be placed into CAS-Undeclared instead of CGS?

I’ve never heard of such thing… but hey, I’m not all-knowing so ask the admissions office to make sure
