<p>“What experiences have led you to select your professional field and objective? Complete only if you are applying to the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Sargent College, the School of Education, the College of Engineering, the College of Communication, the School of Hospitality Administration, the School of Management, or any of the accelerated programs.”</p>

<p>I applied for Finance (under the School of Management). I’m not sure whether the question is phrased such that it is an optional or compulsory essay. </p>

<p>Any takes on this one?</p>

<p>Oh no! I have already submitted the supplement without filling in the question. The Admissions Office is closed 'til 1/5/09 and I've already e-mailed them. Do you think it'll turn out alright?</p>

<p>That essay basically states why you want to go to the specialized school you want to go to. So you do need it. I would type it now and mail it in, postmark by jan 1, rather than wait for the response to the email.</p>

I applied for communications and when I saw this prompt, I saw College of Health and Rehabilitation and skimmed right over to accelerated programs. I didn't even realize the College of Communication required it too. I feel so dumb. Thanks for posting this. BTW, does anyone know the length this essay is supposed to be around?</p>

<p>i'm applying undecided to the college of arts and science...does anyone know if i'm required to write the essay? i don't think cas is accelerated but maybe i still have to write it? thanks!</p>
