I got in USC’s Marshall school of business and BU’s School of Management. At this point, I feel like the smart thing would probably be to go to USC, since I’m most likely getting the presidential scholarship (21k) fr/ national merit and I didn’t get aid fr/ BU. Both school’s total cost is ~60k. My family can afford to pay tuition, but I’d rather be as small a burden as possible. Also, I realize USC’s more prestigious at this point and all that, and I like the school but I really really like BU - school, campus, city, the whole deal. Can anyone explain the pros and cons of each? Or just anything at all to help me decide

Honestly you should probably go to USC…
Pros of BU:
Your in Boston (if you like Boston)
SMG students always tend to talk about there internships so I assume there are a lot
BU rates well in international employability rankings (number 7 on one not to long ago but that seems a little suspect).

Cons: the weather
the amount of top colleges in Boston makes it hard for you to stand out based on the BU name

Pros of USC
Warm Weather
More prestigious and only UCLA in the area at the same level
Big time college sports if your into that sort of thing

I would say you should probably go to USC especially if you get the scholarship. The biggest plus for BU is if you wanted to do business internationally but I don’t think even then it would outweigh the scholarship

Hope this helps

Yeah, your points make sense…I’m probably going to go with USC, even though I love BU. Thanks for the input!
