I’ve received admission from USC Dornsife as well as BU CAS.
I have been awarded the $20,000 Presidential scholarship at BU but have no scholarship at USC.
While I can afford going to USC without the aid I’m really confused as to which college to pick.
My intended college major is economics.
Please help me choose
Where do you want to live after graduation? If the east coast, pick BU. If the west coast, pick SC. Boston is a great college town and $20,000 scholarship is hard to get there. Do you care about football? Do you want to take public transportation or need a car to get around? Big Greek system or small? Italian food or Mexican food? Snow or sun?
Have you visited both? Good luck, good options.
USC is worth it for 20,000 more. In my opinion it is superior in every aspect to BU. Plus its in SC. IF you are in at Marshall, then I would say definitely attend.
I’d rather be in Boston than LA any day. But not everyone feels that way. Depends if you want to live on the east or west coast. Plus $80,000 is significant. I’m sure both B schools would find you a job after graduation. They both rank high.
Bloomberg Business just ranked USC 31st and BU 23rd for undergrad business. That’s pretty close.
As much as I love USC, I would not go into debt for $80,000 in order to go there. BU is a great college.
Save the $$ and make plans for Boston.
OP says can afford USC implying no debt.
@ Maggpie
Considering I want to study economics I would probably want to be on the east cost post graduation.
Haven’t visited either but been to California a bunch of times.
I’m hoping to take public transport around.
Thank you for your inputs though!
Why do you choose Boston as a city however?
