" perhaps one undergrad school is better than the other in the narrow NE corridor, nationally – and internationally – they are considered similarly: fine, regional schools." No, I disagree.
@laurrodes, I have a kid going into business from the #1 global reputation school and she’s pretty convinced that the school and it’s reputation don’t matter as much as many think, which is not to say it doesn’t matter. For the first job there’s probably some help. Bigger and better schools have bigger and better networks, in general, and that helps. But it seems to her that it’s the jobs you take and the quality of the work you do and the MBA school you go to that all have bigger impacts on your career than your undergrad school. Don’t get me wrong, undergrad is very important — education, growth, friendships. In terms of international reputation, I think BC and BU are likely not in anyone’s top 10 internationally regarded schools and thus the distinction of which is better in this regards is somewhat meaningless. They are both great, but very different schools.

@losangeles2727:
To keep your reply from sounding like a 3rd grader saying “Coke is better than Pepsi”, can you substantiate your claim?
“can you substantiate your claim?” (#23)
Until another poster comments, “BU is a way better school than BC,” post #22 is all the evidence we have.
Ah, the scientific method at work as taught at BU.
