BU vs Northeastern

I've been accepted to both schools and I am trying to decide which to attend. I thought bu was a better school but no that I'm looking around, some people think differently. I have financial aid for both schools but out of pocket money for bu is about $9,000 while neu is about $22,000. Still, I want to make an informed decision.

I am going for a mechanical engineering major and possibly going pre-med as well. I've heard about the co-op opportunities at neu but as i understand it, bu also has co-ops. Can anyone give me some insight as to which would be a better choice in the long run?

BU does not have coop, they have some summer internships.

yes i think they do.

[Boston University - College of Engineering](http://www.bu.edu/eng/careers/students/coop/)

You are correct! BU is finally copying the coop program from Northeastern after looking down their nose at it for so many years.

haha so do you have any input as to which would be a better choice?

But at a price difference of 12k I’d go to BU, probably. Doesn’t mean I think it’s a better school (we didn’t coin the phrase “Sucks to BU” for nothing), but the difference is negligible. 12k/year is a lot of money.
