Hey! I got into Rutgers Business School and Questrom and I was just wondering if Questrom was worth the money. Rutgers comes up to around 25k a year while BU is around 52K with grants included. What does BU have that would make it worthwhile to attend over Rutgers? Thanks!
First question - can your family afford $52K a year ($208K over the next 4 years)?
To answer your question, I do not think BU is worth more than twice as much as RU for business. Rutgers has a very good business school (accounting is extremely strong) and very good interning options. Don’t get me wrong, BU is a great school. Unless you can painlessly write a check for $52K, I think Rutgers makes more sense.
Good luck to you and congratulations on having good choices.
If you care about rankings, USNWP puts BU at #41 and Rutgers at #53. That difference doesn’t seem that meaningful to me. I’d save the money.
New Brunswick is much nicer than it once was and NYC is easily accessible by train.
Yeah my parents can pay the cost but only if BU is really worth that amount, so I was just trying to research whether it was. Thanks!
I’m not sure less than a handful of answers on CC constitutes “research.” YOu might look at both schools’ placement stats immediately after graduation, a few years after, etc - Placement would be both to management programs and grad schools.
