BU vs USC for pre med

I got accepted to both USC and BU with similar financial aid packages. How does these two universities differ?
Which school is better for pre med/biology major? Which school would be easier to maintain a higher GPA?
Also, how true is the whole BU grade deflation rumor ?

Although I am going to be a freshman in Boston University (also doing pre-med, as a biology major) I would have to give it to USC. I believe overall USC is a more prestigious college. The rumors about BU and grade deflation have to hold some truth since so many people seem to believe it is there. It is pretty questionable to take the risk. USC and BU should both have access to internships, volunteer positions, and etc., so I believe USC is the better and safer route.

Pre-Med courses are the same anywhere at any university. The “deflation” argument is made throughout this board concerning many colleges – Wake Forest, Princeton, etc. Just understand that you will be competing at BU or USC your freshman year with tons of other would-be docs and more than 60% will not survive the weed-out Orgo. Boston is fun (tons of students) and LA is fun (tons of sun and MUCH more variety of media, etc.). Choose one or the other that just seems to feel right in your gut and don’t look back.

USC

It doesn’t matter what school you go to for your undergrad if you want ot attend med school, even tops schools. You need A’s in Bio 1+2, Chem 1+ 2, Phys 1+2, Orgo 1+2 and STELLAR MCAT scores, great recommendations ( do some research that matters). I recommend for students to take the MCAT prep course starting in Freshman year ( you can usually use the resources for free until you take the exam ) and except for Orgo, which most high schools don;t have, its high school level stuff.
