Hi, I got into all 4 of these as a CA resident, which is why I'm actually considering UCSC.

As far as what I want a school to offer is parties, social life, academic prestige and how easy it would be to get into a masters later.

I figure that if I were to go to BU, my connections would be other college students such as those going to Harvard, which sounds like a plus. Also, BU advertises this fact that I could take classes at Harvard and MIT for free? I don't know whether it'd give me credits or not, but it'd certainly be nice if it did.

I haven't heard much about UW, but I heard it has a really nice campus and the prestige isn't too bad either.

As for USD, I got offered 7k/year (making the total 35ish) and I heard it's really beautiful

If anyone could help me, that'd be great. Thanks!

If one of the factors drawing your to BU is the possibliity of taking courses at MIT and/or Harvard, I’d find out more about that before having that weigh in at all on your decision. I’ve never heard that before and be very cautious about what it actually means.

What are you planning to study? Have you visited all/any of these schools? What is your COA? How does your family feel about these options?

Yeah, I will look more into that Harvard thing more, thanks.

I do really enjoy the city life, which is why I’ve been thinking about BU. I’ve visited SC and SD, I’m going to visit UW soon and the open house (plus 3 extra days) will be my visit to BU.

COA??

I was accepted to the college of arts and sci for all of these, but I really want to switch over into BU’s SMG (management) with a focus on pre-law or get into international business or international relations.

I want to do the major listed above no matter where I go, so would BU be my best bet?

As far as family goes, my brother is a Cal grad (I got denied), so he’s been helping me look, as he knows a thing or two about college decisions (his choices were more prestigious though). He feels like I should go to BU for the potential of advancement, but UCSC for the money.

My dad feels like money isn’t really the issue if what lies ahead can be so much more (BU)

My mom feels like I should go to USD because of the money.

"Cross registration is a formal agreement between Boston University and several local colleges and universities whereby BU students can attend courses at other institutions, and students from other institutions can attend courses at BU. The primary schools in the cross-registration consortium are Boston College, Brandeis University, Tufts University, and Hebrew College. The following are some general guidelines:
