Test optional probably didnât help me with some of the more competitive schools. I was fortunate to get a lot of acceptances before all the more competitive school results started rolling in. If it had been the opposite I would have been severely stressed & bummed out!! Any rejection is still disappointing, even if you knew a school was a long shot. I thought I had a decent chance at Bucknell, but knew the smaller class size would make it unpredictable. I applied to WAY too many schools, but I guess it was a good mix/balance, and i have some great options. I have a few more unlikely schools outstanding, but should switch to focusing on my options vs waiting on the near impossible ones!
Good luck to everyone still waiting, and congratulations to those who received acceptances!!!

Turns out my sonâs is actually financial aid. It doesnât come close to what we need though. I plan to appeal or it wonât be something we can manage. We do have special circumstances.
Incorrect. Engineering most competitive of three colleges at Bucknell. Business second. A&S least competitive. My son goes there and student body widely knows and discusses this.
I sure hope the vibe on campus is not that Engineering and Business students are better than A&S. My son will be in A&S because he wants a true liberal arts education â and the option to change his mind.
