Bucknell Engineering Camp

Has anyone’s kid done this camp? Seems like a great experience, as it’s taught by Bucknell Univ. professors and includes various types of engineering. Would be interested in hearing if it was worthwhile.

Worthwhile for:

Exploring engineering? Most probably
Doing something productive over the summer? Definitely
Getting into Bucknell? Not really

Thanks @bopper Really interested in the experience, so good to hear.

My D did a few engineering camps, my dil also. Both would say they were good for deciding that engineering was going to be a good career path for both of them. My S did chemistry camp, it was good for him to see other kids who also loved chemistry and to realize that he was smart enough to pursue that as a career path (he picked engineering instead of pure science though).

I agree that summer engineering camps will not give anyone a leg up on admission.

But Bucknell does gage interest so a camp I would think would show that. And Lewisberg is very small, and not everyone’s cup of tea, it could be way for the kid to see if they could envision life there for 4 years.
