Bucknell university for Mechanical Engineering

I am an international Student from Pakistan. Can anyone tell me how good or bad is Bucknell’s Mechanical Engineering and the job placement as compared to other Universites like Lafayette and Lehigh?

@Hussainkestrel in my opinion Lafayette and Bucknell are more known for their liberal arts degrees. Lehigh is where I would chose to attend for engineering.

I would respectfully disagree with @pkchamp89 I visited all three of these schools with my D and she recently graduated from Lafayette. Although she was not an engineer herself she had many friends graduated with engineering degrees and they all did very well in terms of getting jobs and/or grad school (whichever they were looking to do). IMO these are peer institutions which are equally strong in engineering.

@happy1 I too visited two of the three schools mentioned in the last year. I was basically stating my own opinion after visiting and sitting through the presentations. Bucknell and Lafayette’s engineering schools are ranked high among the non doctorate degrees. Lehigh is the only one that offers the doctorate path out of all three. Again, just my personal opinion. Nothing more

^^Let’s agree to disagree. Personally I don’t think the availability of a doctoral program should be a factor in deciding where to get an undergraduate education. I’d suggest the OP also consider other criteria that he/she wants in a college (ex. LAC v mid-size university, importance of Greek life at each school etc.). These are all excellent schools so there is no bad choice here.
