Ok so I was accepted to both Bucknell and Tufts, and they each gave me about the same amount of money. I loved both schools, though I preferred Bucknell. But Tufts is much closer to where I live, so my parents are favoring it. I am planning on majoring in biomedical engineering, but my plans could easily change. Any advice on which I should pick?

I don’t know that much about the engineering programs at either school. I’ve never been to tufts, but it is techinically ranked as a “better” school than bucknell.
However, I personally love bucknell and am planning on applying there ed next year. The campus as a really good feel in my opinon. so i guess it comes down to whether academic prestige or campus “fit” is more important to you.

57 Tufts

I hated tufts when i visited. There r too many elephants everywhere and everyone was snobby. Bucknell was very nice though. I’d choose Bucknell

If you really like Bucknell better, go! You’re not talking about a school 3000 miles away in California.

I don’t have personal experience with Tufts, but lots with Bucknell because I know many of the faculty and administrators there. The bio med profs are all terrific with excellent academic pedigrees, they provide a lot of personalized attention, and are genuinely nice people. They work together well as a department and are committed to providing a great educational experience. Senior projects are done with physician mentors from a local, prominent teaching hospital. I have seen most of the senior projects and talked to many of the students about them - they all seemed to have had a great learning experience. I know many of the physician mentors and they enjoy working with the Bucknell students.

Good luck with your decision.
