Tufts v. Lehigh v. Maryland - engineering

Ok, so I've gotten all of my acceptances back, and my top choice is definitely Tufts. I'm into the engineering school in all three of them. I love the school, and I feel it is the best fit for me, but Maryland and Lehigh are consistently ranked higher for engineering. Is this too much of a sacrifice to make, especially when Maryland is significantly cheaper, though I can still afford any of them?

ALSO, I'm not completely sold in engineering and I very well might want to go into International Relations or economics, fields where Tufts is very strong, plus I love their study abroad program. Opinions? thank you very much.

Go by what you like. Do not make your choice on rankings.

Tufts sounds like the choice for you.

MD, cuz ill be there!

It seems as though best Tufts fits your academic interests. You should know that Tufts' engineering school suffers in rankings due to its being so small. You'll get tons of individualized attention and a lot of money goes into undergraduate research which you can certainly take advantage of.

bump, anyone else have any imput?

Is there any difference in cost? Tufts sounds like the choice for you, it's an amazing school and you will love it there.

Yes tufts would cost about 25K a year, while Maryland is closer to 13K. However, if I chose not to do engineering at maryland, that would jump up to about 25K a year as well. I have a part engineering scholarship from marylands college of engineering at 12K/yr. and again, I'm not sold on engineering and i might do other things like history, IR, or other fields strong at tufts.

I say go for Tufts.
